BLUE
In keeping with the east west heritage of SO8, our signature Hong Kong Water Swirl print embodies both a feeling of retro 1960s Hong Kong style and contemporary London streetwear style. The water swirl pattern was inspired by ferry boat crossings of Hong Kong harbour at night.
02. ENGLISH MOD CHECK
Our founder and creative director, Claire Judge, draws inspiration from her Hong Kong-London heritage and recalls looking at old black and white photos of her Chinese mother and aunts in the 1950s and 1960s, posing for the camera in crisp, figure-hugging cheongsam dresses with stiletto heels and black winged sunglasses. It was a true mix of traditional Chinese style and English mod style.
This green and black mod check is a nod to that English mod style fused with the Eastern silhouette of a daily uniform.

04. CHINESE MYTHICAL BIRD
In keeping with the east west heritage of SO8, our Chinese Mythical Bird print is inspired by an antique wedding jacket inherited by our founder Claire Judge from her Chinese maternal family. We chose bright yellow as a base colour to the print to form a connection between the traditional style of the print and the contemporary style of SO8.
05. CHINESE TIGER
In celebration of the Chinese New Year of the Tiger we have designed a limited edition abstract tiger stripe print. Rich in significance for SO8, the Chinese tiger symbolises bravery and strength and is known as the king of the physical world. 2022 is the Year of the Tiger, so be brave, challenge yourself, express your spiritual outlook and your tiger character in your limited edition SO8 suit!
